Production

From raw yarn to finished cones, every step takes place within our facility. A vertical, precise, and proven production process that ensures consistency, reliable lead times, and steady results.

Efficiency, control, and continuity at the core

We manage every stage of the process in-house, with no outsourcing. This allows for operational flexibility, full traceability, and consistent quality.
Our production is built to match the pace of the industry, with the precision of a laboratory.

Controlled supply chain as a core value

We work closely with selected suppliers to ensure that cotton is harvested with full respect for the fiber. Raw material is the source of value and we care for it from the very beginning.

Only long fibers, selected for superior performance

We primarily use long-staple cotton, known for its strength and fineness. Depending on the project, we also work with premium varieties such as Aegean, Pima, and Australian. Every choice is made to enhance the final performance of the yarn.

Complete production cycle

Our production cycle is vertical, well-established, and continuously optimized to ensure continuity, full traceability, and uniform quality — in every batch, for every order.

RAW YARN INSPECTION

Each batch of incoming raw yarn undergoes rigorous quality checks using Uster Tester equipment, ensuring uniformity, consistency, and compliance with required standards. We analyze key parameters such as count, tenacity, irregularities, imperfections, and hairiness — providing a reliable, consistent foundation for all subsequent dyeing and processing steps. Only yarns that pass these tests enter our production cycle.

DOUBLING, TWISTING & STEAMING

Our twisting process is carried out on Savio machines, ensuring precision, consistency, and high performance. Thanks to this technology, we offer custom-twisted yarns with controlled and stable technical parameters — ideal for applications requiring strength, uniformity, and flawless quality. The flexibility of the system allows us to quickly respond to specific requests while maintaining the highest production standards.

SOFT WINDING

Cotton yarn is wound onto dye tubes in “pineapple-shaped” packages using state-of-the-art Fadis Syncro and Murata Machconer machines. Precision winding prevents internal overlaps and ensures even dye bath penetration. Murata machines are equipped with Uster systems, while Fadis machines use Mesdan Aquasplicer for flawless joins.

PACKAGE DYEING

The packages are dyed in pressurized Laip and Loris Bellini machines, equipped with high-powered pumps that ensure thorough penetration of the dye liquor. After a bleaching pre-treatment to remove oils, impurities, and spinning residues, the yarn is dyed and finished with specific softeners, selected according to composition and shade.

CENTRIFUGATION & RADIOFREQUENCY DRYING

Post-dyeing, the yarn packages are centrifuged at high speed to remove excess water, then transferred onto a conveyor belt that passes through a radiofrequency drying system. Belt speed is adjusted based on yarn count, composition, and package size, ensuring even, fully controlled drying.

FINAL WINDING

Yarn is transferred from dye packages to cardboard cones, maintaining uniform density throughout the package to avoid uneven tension and knitting defects. During this process, we apply a paraffin coating to enhance smoothness and reduce friction. We use only high-quality paraffins from Pellizzari (Italy) and Reseda (Germany), selected according to yarn composition and processing temperature.

GASSING

We operate 200 spindles on Italian RITE gassing machines. The yarn is passed through a flame that eliminates surface short fibers, reducing fuzz and enhancing brilliance. Machine speed is calibrated to the yarn count to ensure uniformity without compromising structure.

HANK WINDING

Yarn is wound into 137 cm diameter hanks using next-generation Fadis electronic machines. Precision winding avoids overlapping and ensures even distribution. To achieve maximum uniformity in hank dyeing, we use only advanced technology that meets the highest demands for quality and consistency.

MERCERIZATION

Mercerization is carried out on two Jaeggli Meccanotessile HL2000 machines with automatic loaders, with a daily capacity of 4 tons. The yarn is immersed in a caustic soda solution under constant tension. This treatment enhances tenacity, improves surface regularity, and gives the cotton a silky sheen — the hallmark of premium mercerized yarns.

HANK DYEING

Hanks are mounted on rods (4 or 5 per set) and immersed in low-pressure dye baths. This process reduces mechanical stress on the yarn, resulting in a softer, more pleasant hand. We use only Italian-made Cubotex and Loris Bellini machines — synonymous with reliability and consistent treatment quality.

SPRAY DYEING

Our multicolor spray dyeing process creates unique, dynamic effects. Each spray application is designed to produce vibrant, irregular shades, making every batch of yarn truly one of a kind.

HANK DRYING

Dyed hanks are processed in a Galvanin automated drying system. After an initial roller squeeze, they travel through a heated chamber on a rotating chain. In about 10 hours, the hanks are progressively rotated to ensure even, thorough drying — crucial for preserving yarn consistency and colorfastness.

REWINDING FROM HANK TO PACKAGE

Dried hanks are rewound into packages with a controlled application of paraffin. Each batch is tested for its coefficient of friction — non-compliant lots are reprocessed. We use Savio and Fadis machines with electronic control to guarantee consistency and precision, even in the final stage of production.

BALL WINDING

Our fleet of seven Campanini ball-winding machines allows us to produce a wide range of formats and ball types, tailored precisely to each customer’s needs. From small artisanal batches to large industrial volumes, we ensure flexibility, uniformity, and care in every package.

Balls of yarn ready for sale or processing

In addition to yarn on cones, we produce balls of yarn for distribution and hand knitting.
Each format is carefully crafted to ensure visual appeal, practicality, and consistency – tailored for both retail and professional channels.

In-house laboratory: color, material, and precision

Equipped with an automated Autolab Datacolor system, our lab develops up to 200 color samples per day with the highest precision. Each batch undergoes tests for fastness, evenness, smoothness, and paraffin application. On request, we perform fastness tests for perspiration and light. To simulate final processing, we produce control swatches using two circular knitting machines and three flatbeds, selecting the fineness best suited to the yarn type and intended use.
